Evening all! For my first foray into blogging I wanted to talk about road conditions. Not just the everyday stuff you may encounter like debris in the road or manhole covers etc but actual issues that are purposely put down by the road commision. The road that I live on is nothing but filled and refilled holes. There are so many that you can no longer pick a clean line thru on the motorcycle. Every year these holes get worse and all the county does is fill them up with asphalt. And that isn't even done well.
This evening's ride home from work was quite the pucker fest with the seat when I got to Acme and found that they had not just put down loose stone and sand between the two directions but they also had laid this mess down between the lanes! NOT COOL. So I'm trying to avoid the spray from other vehicles wheels and need to get into the right lane so I can turn at M-72. Which everyone was bunching up so near impossible to get over without pissing someone off. I was soooo happy to get around the corner and on to M-72! (Ironicly they had done M-72 the second week of July.)
So my questions are: 1. Why do they put that crap down on the roads? 2. Has this happened to anyone else outside of northern Michigan? I mean this is dangerous to all motorcycles! Driving thru the mess is bad enough but when you get hit by random stones and crap from other vehicles..... It just really pisses me off.
