So, I have been losing quite a bit of weight lately. I'm doing it on purpose and not by force or because of some crazy depression or fad even. I have a 6 year old daughter and i was getting heftier and heftier over the past 6 years and it was time to do something about it. I have lost over 40 lbs and 5-6 inches around the belly area and i feel great!!! I am starting to look like a regular guy again and not a barrel. haha. Went to check out some Hot Rods and the such down in Old Town Culver City. I was surprised at the amount of Rockabilly babes that can be found at these shows. Nothing against them, i love the look, but don't give me dirty looks when you catch me looking at you. You dress that way for a reason and that's to get noticed. So much rain....so little riding....makes joejoe a sad panda. So like...i HAVE ridden in the rain before and i didn't enjoy it very much. But then again, i wasn't prepared for it. My buddy Roy swung by Saturday morning to get me to try some twisties. We headed off to Topanga Canyon road right off the 118. This would be our 3rd time out to this spot but this time we are taking a detour and trying out Box Canyon Road. So far, i have been able to keep up with Roy on his 1997 Thunderace. I'm not trying to set any speed records here, just staying safe and keeping up. SO far, it's been FUN!!!
